Hello!
As the title says, today's book is Fates Divided by Jules Barnard. I you follow me on social media ( then you know that I have started doing nail art inspired by my current read. So, my blog post setup will be a quick blurb about the book and then a quick look at how I painted my nails.

For Reference, I listened to this book.
Overall I thought this was a well written, interesting story. It is about a half human half fae girl in college. During a chemistry class she realized she could change the compounds she was working on without touching it. while trying to replicate it she met a boy and together they discover a history they never had dreamed of and learned that Our main girl was the only one who could save the entire Fae race.
I enjoyed the ideas and concepts that Jules wrote. I also liked how she put her own spin on the few clichés. It was executed well enough that I didn't get thrown out of the story. The different twists and turns were fun as well. I purchased the next book and will be listening to it in the future.

Personally, I thought the chemistry touch that reminded consistent throughout the story was a nice change. It was a great balance between science and magic. I wanted to focus on that with my nails. Sparkly blue for the magic aspect and science-esque designs.

My tools of choice for this design.
I a not the most paient person when it come to litterally watching paint dry. Due to this, I only use UV gel polish. The two that I used for this set was a light, baby blue From Bettles and Ur Sugar's sparkly blue.
I absolutely forgot to take in between photos, but it is a very easy design. Base coat, cure, baby blue, cure, sparkly blue, cure, sparkly blue again, cure and then top coat.
Next I use black acrylic paint I bought from a dollar store to paint the designs. Using the small end of my dotting tool I drew on the simple pictures. Once the black paint was dry, used the small side to clean up my lines before top coating it once more.
Boom! Done!
